Your spotlight on local services

Have Your Say – Vascular Services in North West London

A message from our colleages at the NHS:

We are looking for people to help us improve our health services in north west London. We would like to hear from local patients, carers and the public about their experiences of vascular services in our region and understand your opinions on the options being considered to improve services. We are holding a focus group to gather feedback from the local community and are keen to hear from you if you would like to join.

What is the work about? Vascular surgery provides treatment of conditions affecting arteries and veins throughout the body. In north west London, there is a common vision to create one vascular network for all of our hospitals and patients. The NHS is working to bring together these kind of ‘low volume, high complexity’ procedures across the region to improve patient outcomes.

The vascular clinical teams from both London North West University Healthcare and Imperial College Healthcare NHS trusts have historically run separate vascular surgical ‘hubs’ in north west London. We think that we can all work together to build on the existing services, our staff and our communities, and our theatres and infrastructure, to create a network that enhances clinical services, research and improves patient care.

We would like to hear your views and feedback on options to improve vascular services in north west London. This feedback will be used to inform future proposals for vascular service delivery in our region.

When is it happening? The focus group will be held in June 2022, with the date and time confirmed in mid May. The focus group will run for 2 hours and be held online.

What’s in it for me? To thank you for your input we are offering participants a gift voucher or bank transfer worth £12.50 per hour of your time. You will also be helping us to improve future care for patients.

How do I sign up? If you are interested to join the focus group, please contact lydia.salice@imperialcollegehealthpartners.com and joanna.mason@imperialcollegehealthpartners.com and we will get back to you with more information. Alternatively, please call 07951 415 109 and ask to leave a message for Joanna Mason and we will return your call.

Please let us know if you require any adjustments to participate in the session. We would also like to ask for some demographic information so that we can recruit a diverse group of participants to the focus group to reflect the views of our diverse communities in North West London.
